Host family

Choosing the host family means making the choice to live with Oxford residents, eating, talking and sharing with them as a member of the family. It is an immersion in culture, and an extra serene opportunity to practice your English throughout the day. Each family is specially prepared to carry out this role. All the homestay providers are a short bus ride away from the College.

Residence

Learning to live with other students from around the world is, for many, the most valuable part of the experience:

  • Older children usually sleep in one room, while older children share larger rooms
  • Boys and girls are accommodated separately and staff members live in adjoining rooms, so there is always someone available day and night
  • We provide all linen and towels and there is a regular laundry service for personal items
  • We encourage students to keep their rooms tidy.
  • All meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner are taken together in the dining room of the school:
  • The menu is designed to be both healthy and nutritious with vegetarian options, plenty of fresh fruit and a salad bar
  • Packed lunches are provided when your child goes on an excursion
  • There is a small shop on the school campus for snacks at other times

The school requires a deposit for each student accommodated in its residence: £20 (for 10-15 years old) or £30 (15-17 years old)
