Winter in Switzerland is much more fun than you think! Just imagine an alpin hotel at the foot of the mountains, with a garden surrounded by the most beautiful summits of the Alps, everything inside to have a lot of fun, and above all a lot of nice, friendly and interesting people to have fun with! This is the concept of this Winter camp: gather children and teenagers from all Swiss cantons and from other countries, provide everything they might need, and make sure they have a great time! Through numerous activities that we will do outside, such as snowshoeing, tobogganing, hiking, exploration and much more... Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Swiss Alps in a specific and interesting way.
After the afternoon activities, we will return to our chalet where the participants enjoy our evening program. Ping-pong tables, paint and pencils, projector, a piano, exercise mats, badminton rackets, volleyball balls, name-it-you-got-it, our chalet is perfectly equipped so that, whatever you like, you won’t be missing anything. And most of all, you won’t miss anyone to share your enthusiasm with!
Team members (and most of the participants) come from different countries and are French, English or German native speakers. Mostly young and always motivated animators are here to make sure the participants are safe and have a wonderful time in our camp, and also to help them improve their language skills. But not like in a school! It’s vacation time! 3 hours a day four times per week, children and teenagers will form very small groups (according to their level and age) to find out how they can improve their French, German or English through games. Because grammar is boring until you need it to explain “what would have done if you had not been” found during the last hide-and-seek game… Can you say that in German or French? And what’s more important: are you not already frustrated to not be sure to say it properly?
The camp in Braunwald takes place in our Adrenalin Backpacker Hostel. Here we have plenty of space: three large terraces, single, double, 4-bed, 6-bed and multi-bed rooms and a bar with syrup and other non-alcoholic delicacies! There's also a table football table and a pool table.
Braunwald is car-free and lies on a sunny terrace high above the sea of fog. The resort can be reached by car from Zurich in just over an hour. Or you can take the accompanied train from Zurich HB, leaving on Sunday afternoon.
So what are you doing during the Winter break? Come and join us to explore the Swiss Alps, to take part in beautiful winter activities, and to learn French, English, and German language!
The highlight of this camp is the exploration of the Swiss Alps using various methods - sledding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and many other winter activities!
